About the Series

This webinar series is a partnership between Procurement Assistance Canada (PAC) and RRMBA to help Red River Métis entrepreneurs understand the federal procurement process and explore opportunities available to majority Métis-owned businesses.

Participants may register for:

  • All six sessions, or
  • Only the sessions that interest them

Session 6 offers both in-person and virtual attendance options.

Each session includes:

  • 45 minutes of expert-led content from a Procurement Outreach Officer
  • 15 minutes of Q&A
  • A brief introduction to the Red River Métis Business Directory and its updated procurement features

How the Government Buys What You Sell

Audience: Businesses with a basic understanding of procurement, looking to advance.

Topics include:

  • Registering as a supplier
  • Where to find opportunities
  • Where to access additional procurement information

📅 February 18, 2026 - Webinar 4

Bidding on Opportunities

Audience: Businesses ready to start bidding on federal opportunities
(Attending Webinar 3 first is recommended.)

You will learn:

  • How to read and understand solicitation documents
  • How to prepare your business to bid
  • What makes a strong bid
  • How bids are evaluated
  • How to submit a competitive bid
  • How to follow up after bidding

Finding Opportunities & Registering as a Supplier

Audience: Businesses actively searching for federal opportunities.

Includes a walkthrough of CanadaBuys (GETS):

  • Searching for tenders, contract history, standing offers, and supply arrangements

  • Additional information sources
  • Registering on SAP Ariba to respond to tenders

Supplying Professional Services

Audience: Businesses selling - or wanting to sell - professional services to the GC.

You will learn:
